ABSTRACT

The widespread prevalence of COVID-19 pandemic has affected students and parents alike. For young learners, the prolong closure of schools, denying students’ opportunity for social interaction and peer-learning, which is vital for social emotional development. Home-based learning and parental involvement take an important role in child’s education during the Covid 19 pandemic. Parents’ motivation and knowledge affect parent’s readiness to become involved in their child’s education. Flora and fauna themes are seen as the most appropriate syllabus for home-based learning that could enhance children social emotional development.
